Conrad being shuttled off into the Home for Wayward Interests is so terribly interesting because it implies the Elias is treating his own moral conscious as just as silly and childish as his actual childhood interests, something to be put aside in favor of doing whatever it takes to please his superiors and oh boy if that doesn’t promise that some fucked up shit is in that file I’ll eat my own brain. Elias what are you DOING.

tigergirltail:

(partner and I have just finished watching episode 1 of Mentopolis)

them: “It’s so stupid.”

me: “What?”

them: “It’s so fucking stupid.”

me: “Hmmmm??”

them: “They’re in a mindscape. It’s a noir setting. There’s prohibition.”

me: “Yeah?”

them: “…It’s the Great Depression.”

me: “……..MULLIGANNNN!!!!”

fearbehere:

the thing about mentopolis that compels me so much is that brennan is CLEARLY a huge hank green fan and hank is CLEARLY a huge brennan lee mulligan fan. and it makes for the most interesting dm-pc dynamic

rodeo-clown-boy:

i find it so strange that conrad (the embodiment of elias’ sense of right and wrong) is a small, very scared, child. i have a feeling conrad won’t stay small the whole time. once the bbeg is defeated and ambition and logic are no longer elias’ primary motivators, conrad will have a magical-girl transformation of some kind and become the new mayor or something
